is to encourage nonviolence and
Peacemaking!
We think about how to deal with the conflict and violence around us.
We create art works showing non-violent approaches and possible
results.
We display our artworks to motivate and inspire others.
We move in the direction of peace using nonviolence.
We recognize and honor Peacemakers.

History: We heard about "THE SEARCH FOR
PEACE" at the Northwest Regional Maryknoll Affiliate Conference.
Fr. Jim Hogan began The Search For Peace in 2001 in Missoula, Montana.
Through this annual local event hundreds of artists and attendees have
contributed their art work and been motivated to search, talk, and work for
peace. This inspired us to begin the Search for Peace Art Events in
Portland, Oregon.
